VESA ClearMR is a new standard for motion clarity and image quality. ClearMR measures motion blur by defining a Clear Motion Ratio (CMR) that quantifies the ratio of clear pixels to blurry pixels in a moving image.

The CMR values range from ClearMR 3000 to ClearMR 13000, with higher values indicating higher image quality and less blur. High-speed cameras capable of capturing over 10,000 frames per second are used to capture the movement of a bright light area, allowing for the assessment of dynamic motion blur under different ClearMR tiers.
